Clinical Kinesiology: Testing and Treatment for Common Shoulder, Hip, and Knee Aliments

This is a 8 Hour CE Course

* Learn about the Kinesiology (shorten definition = study of the body in motion) for the shoulder, hips, and knees. Great Kinesiology Refresher!

* Learn the bones and muscles that create each region and how they are suppose to properly move (Proper ROM).

* Learn some tests that will help identify and determine the source of pain, imbalances, and decrease ROM for each region.

*Learn how to use the results from the tests to figure out a plan for treatment.

*Learn how to properly treat common aliments in each region.

*Learn proper lifting and bolstering techniques to allow better body mechanics and easier work.

Protect your practice: a comprehensive review of Washington State Massage Laws

Have you read the Washington State Massage Laws? Do you understand how to implement them into your private practice? Do you need to ask an employer to review them with you?

In this 8 hour class we will review and discuss the laws as they relate to massage therapy in Washington State. We will practice communication with clients and employers as it relates to compliance with the laws.

This class fulfills the four (4) hour ethics requirement for Washington State Licensure for Massage Therapists. It is open to anyone in the field who is an LMT, employees LMTs, rents space to LMTs, etc.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) 16 Hour CE Course  $450 (Prerequisite for Lymphedema Management)

This NCBTMB Course will fully equip you to understand every condition that you can possibly treat with Manual Lymphatic Drainage, delving into how the system works. In spas and in the medical field, MLD is fast-growing and in-demand. In fact, it is paramount for healing after surgery and for the immune system. It is now widely sought-after and prescribed by physicians, as it has been in Europe for almost a century! You are invited to this exciting course, widening clientele and saving hands & thumbs from injury. 

You’ll learn how to apply gentle lymphatic drainage techniques, which can be used alone or included along with other massage modalities. You’ll also learn about contraindications, with ample time for hands-on skill development and learning lymphatic pathways. Mornings are for lecture; afternoons are for practice!

Lymphedema Management (Advanced) 16 Hour CE Course $450 (Must take MLD 16 Hour CE Course)
MLD Course (or equivalent) is a prerequisite for this Course!

Many post-mastectomy cancer patients develop Lymphedema, which requires a rerouting of lymph through intact pathways. This sought after, rewarding modality is the final step, which will make a therapist understand how to help any and every client seeking or requiring MLD. This course also touches on Lipedema and other conditions, and includes measuring. An E-book is provided for all participants, as an excellent reference, as you incorporate MLD into your massage practice!

In addition, this course will teach you about Lipedema and direct your work for Liposuction clients. Mornings are for lecture; afternoons are for practice!

Breast & Chest Massage 16 Hour CE

Cost: $400

In this class, students will learn massage of the ribcage, chest, and breasts, intended to support healthy breathing and overall wellness. This massage may benefit clients experiencing musculoskeletal neck, chest and shoulder related weakness or injuries, and also people with non-cancerous, breast tissue-related conditions such as menstrual-related tenderness, fibrocystic breast tissue, breast augmentation, breast reduction, gender transformation mastectomy, and other non-cancerous breast conditions.
 
This class DOES meet the required 16 hour WA State CE Hours for Breast Massage Certification under WAC 246-830-555.
