*** IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ***

Elite Massage School has received a notification from the Washington Dept. of Revenue (WA DOR), stating that many services are going to be responsible for charging sales taxes on their services
beginning on Wednesday, 10/1/25.

The services that we offer fall under the category of “Live Presentations”; which is one of many services added by the ENGROSSED SUBSTITUTE SENATE BILL 5814.

What this means… Starting on Wednesday, 10/1/25 we will start charging Sales Tax on on our in-person Washington State Educational Classes, including our Advanced Massage Therapy License Program and Live In-Person Continuing Education Classes and Webinars.

Any CE Classes that were purchased or registered prior to 10/1/25 but held after 10/1/25 will not have sales tax charged to the individuals.

Any Elite Massage School contracts that were signed and registered prior to 10/1/25 but held after 10/1/25 will not have sales tax charged to them.

As of Wednesday, 10/1/25 any classes or contracts/registrations WILL be taxed and added to the total class/tuition costs.

We understand the impact this has on educational experiences and are looking to see if there will be an overturn on this bill or further clarification. We will keep you posted with further news.

Until then; to learn more about this Bill, you may read about it here:
